A Chain of Events

This weekend the Monarchs had a play party at Threshold in Los Angeles. Faction XV was a fantastic event with a great turnout. But I'm not posting to talk about that, per-se.

During the party one of the guys had done a fantastic scene on stage and after he had his girl trussed up in run-of-the-mill hardware store galvanized chain. Heavy, she lugged her burden around the dungeon, completely nude. It was hot. With that on my mind I stumbled onto this image today:

I Googled this. The answer was "42."

Wanking will Save the World

Free porn website PornHub (the second reference to them in one week) has figured out a way to save the planet: convert the motion from the 41 million people masturbating to their videos onto energy.

The Wankband converts an up-and-down motion with a kinetic charger into stored energy and with a USB connector, the Wankband can power a phone, tablet or computer using 100% sustainable energy. You can see for yourself with this YouTube video.

Finally, some genuine value and purpose from jacking off. Well, besides getting off, I mean.

Why 50 Shades is Good for the Lifestyle

50 Shades of Grey made an "eye-popping" $85 million on its opening weekend over Valentine's, with $132 million in box office its first 10 days of release, according to Variety. Here's why it's good for all of us, Fellow Kinksters, regardless of what you think of the books or film.

With the wild success of the motion picture 50 Shades of Grey proving, at least, that R-rated adult-oriented films are popular again (after taking a decade-long hiatus from studio slates and multiplexes), there's an even more interesting phenomenon happening, and I contend it's good for the lifestyle.

Interest, even a passing one, in BDSM, bondage, spanking and D/s is good. Why? Because maybe—just maybe—we might be perceived as less freaky than we were a few weeks ago. And perhaps our predilections may seem just a little less strange, wicked, perverted or even criminal.

Who cares? you say. I agree. Fuck 'em. But if you ever were forced to come out to someone you didn't want to or weren't ready to (as I was a few years ago to some of my kids—that's a whole other story) it would have been a lot fucking easier to simply say, "Well, kids, you know that 50 Shades? Yeah, I'm like that." Even if they didn't read the books or hadn't seen the films, such an explanation (regardless of how superficial or incorrect) is now universally understood and instantly more widely accepted than it was just a mere three weeks ago.

Popular free porn site Pornhub released some rather astonishing statistics on the heels of the release of 50 Shades of Grey after Valentine's Day weekend. After the release of the film, Pornhub notes searches by women of just the word 'submission' alone increased 219%, 'dominate' up 196%, 'bdsm' up 186%, 'spanking' up 158% and 'bondage' up 131% (see charts).

Regardless of sex, the word 'submission' was searched 55% more, 'bdsm' 42% more, 'dominate' 40% more and 'flogging' up 33%.

You can see how the motion picture has influenced the interests of people in our twisted little universe. We read a lot in the community about how lame, vanilla, shallow and vapid the books and films portray BDSM, D/s and our lifestyle. All true. But just by bringing it to the forefront, making it ever-so-slightly more mainstream makes what we do less "perverted."

Hell, after all those searches, I'm thinking there may be a batch of noobs looking for their new soul Dom out there. Just go down to Find Us at the bottom of the page. You can contact me via the link. ;-)

Those Darn Kids!

The curiosity of youth—particularly boys—never stops. Of course, when it comes to titties, legs, bottoms and curvaceous girls, boys become fascinated at a fairly early age. I remember being in third grade and falling for my elementary school teacher, Mrs. O'Neill. Of course, the "Mrs." never occurred to me that she might have been "spoken for" but it didn't care. My pre-hormonal interests didn't stray far from that teacher, but I remember being quite smitten over a beautiful girl in sixth grade. I wrote her poetry.

Junior high was a series of unexpected boners that required clever concealment, but love wasn't in the air through those years. I was just trying to avoid getting in fights, which is why we ended up moving to a new school district.

I saw a TV show recently (I don't remember which one, in fact, maybe it was a movie) in which two boys are oogling the Sear Roebuck catalog's lingerie section. Oh, I remember those days. I remember hearing comedians joke about National Geographic and topless native peoples, but when I sought those out I was never horny enough to find them stimulating.

Around those junior high days, I went camping with some friends. As our parents played cards in one of the families' trailers we hung out in the dark as I undressed two girls and used their belts and mine to bind their budding breasts and restrain them to a pole. That's my earliest recollection of kink, though at the time I thought the belt as a kind of bikini top was quite a fetching fashion statement for the young ladies.

We didn't get caught and we all decided mutually to stop our shenanigans. Yeah—"the curiosity of youth." That shit got me in some interesting situations as I grew older...
